Roger Wittevrongel is a painter from West-Flanders. In Ghent he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the National Gradeschool. Wittevrongels debute was guided by Octave Landuyt. During the sixties he folowed his own path andk his work evolved to the hyperrealism. Architectural compositions and paintings with nudes, surrounded by atributes are now his most known works.
Apart from painting, Wittevrongel teached gravure-arts at the academy in Ghent. He was represented in lots of exhibitions in Europe, Japan and the US. In 1984 he received the state price for his work.
