The works of Yvan Theys have a very emotional atmosphere. After a calssical begin-period with an obvious link with CoBrA, Theys reformed his style to the 'New Figuration. Together with Reinier Lucassen and Alphons Freymuth he brakes trough in The Netherlands. His artwork is a reaction on his environment and the world.
