Els Hattink was born in Bruges and is of Dutch nationality. She studied at the 'Vrije Academie' in Den Haag, 'Sint-Lucas' in Brussels and at 'Hogere Rijkschool voor Beeldende Kunsten in Anderlecht.
Her work has been exposed numerous times in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Portugal, USA, Costa Rica, ... Eight of her works can be admired on the cruiseship 'Queen Mary II'
