Till Friday August 8th 2008, Kunstzolder presents an exhibition with works of the young artist Peter Depelchin in Kunstzolder Office in Zelzate. The exhibition also contains a small presentation of original work from Bram Bogart. Peter Depelchin takes us on a journey with sculptures, drawings, paintings and other objects of art. Each works are pieces of art that were created with great caution and precision. They often discribe situations that we know from myths, tales and historical facts. But the viewer also recognises personal events and situations of his daily living. In each work you can find a kind of sarcasm and humor about our typical human defaults. The longer you are watching the works, the more they confront you with new experiences, while still seeming recognizable and familiar. Click here to know more about the artist and his work.
Together with the works of Depelchin, the Kunstzolder-collection of Bram Bogart is also partialy exhibited. The typical forms and colors in the work of this famous artist of the informal art group are reflected in many of the exhibited original works.
