Richard Kuiper is a Dutch photographer. He creates still lives with 17th century compositions, totaly made with platic objects.
With these works he refers to the Golden Age, A period that is still often mentionned with proud as the big success for the Dutch Kingdom. Although mortality is an inevitable thing and often contained subtle in the still lives of many old masters, Kuiper shows his work in a postmodern way. The compositions are made with the material which will enure the test of time the longest of all: plastic.
