The paintings and sculptures of the Dutch artist Armando (Amsterdam 1929), who has also made name as a writer, touch the viewer with an unusual intensity. With their powerful imagery and sober figuration they create a multitude of associations. As an indictment of violence, war and threats, they are more current than ever. In this publication, a representative selection of paintings, sculptures and personal texts build a bridge between Armando's early work and his late work.
